Villgro launched its research program in 2010 with a three-year grant from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The program seeks to learn from entrepreneurs’ and enterprises experience with market-based models for invention and scaling innovations that benefit lower-income groups in India. As part of the project, Villgro is working with the academic and research community to generate a stronger evidence base from which to identify, propose, and disseminate innovative solutions for constraints facing the Social Enterprise Ecosystem in India and beyond.
